PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Seeking an ensemble of Nigerian orAfrican actors, dancers and singers. A mystical Journey into the world of vibrant spirituality, captivating rhythms, and the unforgettable story of Chief MKO Abiola – the undisputed hero of our struggle. This electrifying stage play brings to life the iconic figure behind the unique later day struggle of Chief Abiola, whose fight for democracy lapsed into one of the most tragic stories of our time. With infectious melodies, breathtaking choreography, and a soul-stirring narrative, Kashimawo weaves the story of a young visionary who, against all odds, rises to prominence as an international figure whose robust philanthrophy changed and touched lives. From humble beginnings in Nigeria to stages across the world, this story is an exhilarating exploration of his passion, artistry and evocative love for freedom and the socio-political revolution he sparked.
Production states: "Get ready to marvel, think, sing, dance and revel at his rich African proverbs as they flow very smoothly through this carefully worded production. Kashimawo will leave you inspired, empowered, and mesmerised by the incredible legacy of a true African renaissance."
