BBC - Young actors for new series The Dumping Ground
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND ONLY SUBMIT IF SUITABLE
From BBC Studios Casting Team, shooting in Newcastle over the Summer holidays, looking for actors to fulfil the roles of:
HARMONY
Female. Aged between 11-14 years.
We would like to cast a child who is neurodivergent for this role. A chaotic force of nature and door slammer extraordinaire! Harmony and Phoenix are sisters. She loves her sister and is aware that when the dust settles, she can often spoil things for the both of them.
PHOENIX
Female. Aged between 8 – 11 years.
The younger sister of Harmony, fiery but not quite in the same league as her big sister. She can get away with murder as her older sister will always get the blame!
SAMMY
Male. Aged between 11-14 years.
Sammy arrives at ‘The Dumping Ground’ as a refugee who has been in the country for a few months. He still maintains his accent from his home country and we are open to whatever accent this may be.
He is a creative ball of mischief in the house who often tells fantastical stories to the group of how he arrived in the UK.
VINNY
Male. Aged between 6-7 years.
The Dumping Ground is a big change from what young Vinny is used to. Cheeky and chatty, he tends to say whatever is on his mind.
TESSA
Female. Aged between 12-15 years
Tessa is more affluent than the other kids in the Dumping Ground. Life has been easy for her so far, so arriving here is very different from the usual luxury that she is used to.
