We are looking for professional actors to devise and perform the stories of Latino migrants, about how it is to be living as queer Latino migrants in the UK, alongside the participants of a drama outreach project.
As part of the project, a group of queer Latinos living with or affected by HIV, are receiving basic acting training and drama therapy sessions. This is an exciting and innovative project which is a first for the charity involved.
We are looking for:
- two Latino, or of Latino background (including Brazilian), male actors of any age and one white male British actor. No specific physical characteristics or accents are required.
Please include any details of previous devising, verbatim or community theatre work you have undertaken in your application. We are keen to hear about any movement skills also. Due to the confidentiality of the non-actor participants, character names are not being advertised but will form part of the final piece. Please note that some of the devising content might be of a sexual nature but no full nudity will be required.
This is equity contract paid job.
