We are searching for:

- Female performer (Playing age 40+) to play lead role in adaptation of Jackie Kay's book Trumpet

Like many women of her time Mrs Millie Moody would describe herself in relation to her husband Joss, But who was she?
Millie is the wife of the famous Black Male Trumpet player, Joss Moody.
Upon his death she is left behind to cope with an unforgiving world once their full story is revealed.
Millie Moody, brave or headstrong, selfish or protective?  We know she was totally devoted to their love story that spans from 1955 through to Joss's death in 1997 and beyond.

ROLE:
- MILLIE MOODY
playing age - 40+ (some flashback scenes to younger)
White, with an ability to speak with a Scottish or North of England accent.
Comfortable with music and dance.
