Actor Auditions – A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Scottish Opera is inviting male actors to apply to audition for the role of Puck in its forthcoming production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Britten, to be performed in Glasgow and Edinburgh in March/April 2020.

We are looking for:

-  a male actor, playing age late teens/early 20s, who is a very physical performer, with the ability to read music. Ideally applicants will be highly skilled in gymnastics/acrobatics and have experience of puppeteering.

ROLE
Puck, a fairy, is a mischievous character who acts as servant and side-kick to the king of the fairies, Oberon. His text in the opera is rhythmically notated and almost entirely spoken.

Applicants must be fully available for the period Wednesday 12 February 2020 – 4 April 2020 inclusive and Monday 20 April 2020 – Saturday 25 April 2020 inclusive.

Audition Date:
Tuesday 15 October 2019 from 6pm – 10pm
Successful applicants will be advised their audition slot in advance.
Location: Glasgow
