DANCE - Female Performer (with dance experience) for lead role in touring children's production (apply by 9th August)

CASTING - HEART OF LIGHT

Forest Tribe Dance Theatre is seeking:

- 1 female performer with dance experience to take the leading role “Sita”.

The show will be touring across libraries and theatres in Autumn 2019. “Heart Of Light” is a multi-sensory production for children aged 5 years and upwards. We are looking for a performer who is comfortable with movement. They should be at ease with ‘play’ and interacting with their audience.

We are searching for:
-Skilled Actor who are comfortable with physical movement OR dancer/mover who are comfortable with acting.
-Preferably with clowning experience.
-Preferably with modern movement vocabulary (different genres)
-Preferably with a minimum of 2 years professional experience.
-A Performer who are able to commit to rehearsal and touring phases.
-A singing voice is an advantage
-Previous work with children
-Preferably has a DBS

We particularly encourage applications from BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) performers.

DATES
The contract will be for :
-Rehearsals: 7th - 12th October 2019 based in North West (Manchester / Cheshire) .
-2 weeks touring: 21st October - 2nd November 2019, UK wide tour.

All rates are above ITC equity.
