PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND ONLY SUBMIT IF SUITABLE Sonia Sabri Company are looking for professional Indian classical and/or acrobatic contemporary dancers who are based in London for our new work, Mughal Miniatures: The Elephant and the Drummer co-produced with The Place, London. One dancer must be able to work creatively with props and masks, and the other dancer must be able to play a loud South Asian/Middle Eastern drum or percussion instrument. We are looking for character ¶ade performers to integrate our pool of ©Disney and/or MARVEL universe performers. We are seeking: CHARACTER PERFORMER (F/M/NB): spatially aware, energetic, creative with good physical stamina. CHARACTER & PARADE PERFORMERS (F/M/NB): spatially aware, energetic, creative and with good physical stamina. A good level of dance is required through significant training and/or stage experiences. Classical/ modern jazz style. These positions require heights between 137cm and 193cm. If you are drawn to the artistic world, your experience in animation, dance or acting could enable you to be part of our magical experiences which make dreams a reality for our guests. Contract start dates available through a six-month period following the audition. Short-term contract lengths are for a minimum of 4 months. Housing possibilities are available. WHERE WILL THE AUDITIONS BE? Auditions are held in London. HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO AUDITION? We will audition children for the role of Matilda who are aged 8 to 12 and under 4ft 3. Her classmates need to be aged 8 to 13 and under 4ft 10” tall with brilliant dancing and singing skills! Boys must have unbroken voices. WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO IN THE AUDITION? You will be asked to bring a short poem or monologue to perform, to sing something and you will be taught a dance from the show. WHAT IF I LIVE OUTSIDE LONDON? We need to cast children for all the roles within travelling distance of the theatre so they can live at home and attend their own schools. You need to live within one hour of Central London. All children must be available for the entire rehearsal and performance period.
